I provide evidence-based care for children and their families. Working with kids is incredibly rewarding. They are honest, curious, engaging and fun. My care is compassionate and patient-centered. When I first walk into a room I address my patient first (even a young child) and ask them what brought them in for the visit before turning to their parent or family member. It’s important that the child is an active participant in his or her visit! I love teaching all ages about pediatric medicine. I’ve done my best work when a patient and their family leave their visit with a clear understanding of the diagnosis and plan of care so that they can effectively carry out the plan at home.
